The much-rumored Pixelbook 2 could see an early October release in Google’s upcoming #madebygoogle event, according to a new video leak.
The leaked clip shows a laptop with a hamburger icon key on the top right, smaller bezels, round keys, and Chrome OS featuring a rounded taskbar that could bring the Pixelbook closer to the Android aesthetic as envisioned by Google.
According to Dami Lee, a columnist for The Verge, there’s a high chance that the second-gen Pixelbook will have a detachable keyboard because of its resemblance to detachable Surface Go keyboards.
Two internet ads, one from Facebook and another from Google ads, have also added credibility to the rumor. The Google ad was spotted by an anonymous chrome Unboxed user.
Rumored since July, the Pixelbook 2 was initially teased by Evan Blass via a tweet.
Besides the Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, and second-gen Pixel Buds, a reliable source tells me — with high confidence — that Google’s fall hardware event will also introduce a Pixel-branded watch. Have a great summer!

Reports hint at two chromebooks codenamed “atlas” and “Nocturne.” It’s still unclear when Google will announce them, but we’ll keep an eye out for more reports.
