The much glorified NVidia RTX 2000 series will arrive at your doorstep soon. The RTX 2080 is expected to hit the shelves on September 20th while the RTX 2080 Ti will arrive on September 27th. The Ti version was initially slated for availability on 20th before NVidia quietly pushed the date farther by one week.
“GeForce RTX 2080 Ti general availability has shifted to September 27th, a one week delay,” Nvidia wrote. “We expect pre-orders to arrive between September 20th and September 27th. There is no change to GeForce RTX 2080 general availability, which is September 20th.”(PC World)
Customers have been pre-ordering the Geforce RTX 2080 since 20-series announcement, but some custom versions are already on sale. Meanwhile, the RTX 2080 has disappeared from display since the rescheduling of dates.
It’s still unclear whether the delay resulted from overwhelming demand or shortage, but we can be sure to expect delays in the first week of availability. Stay tuned for more news on the RTX series.
